MATREF:

Material data reference name

The specified name must be from the list in table ISTROP or table ANTROP, else a function error occurs.

Or, select one of the predefined materials from the list and material data of the selected material will be automatically filled in table ISTROP or table ANTROP.

FABMET:

Method of pipeline fabrication

Prescribed names: UOE / UE / none

[Default: UOE]

(If no method is chosen, UOE method will be used, leading to more conservative implosion checking.)

(UOE: reduces the Yield Stress by 15% for implosion checking,
UE: reduces the Yield Stress by 7.5% for implosion checking,
none: does not reduce the Yield Stress for implosion checking.)

MATFACT:

Material factor for axial buckling checking

Prescribed values: 1.0 and 1.1

[Default: 1.0]

(The critical strain and torsion values are divided by MATFACT, leading to more conservative checks if 1.1 is used.)

 

Note 1:

It is notified explicitly that this specification differs from all other similar specifications, because the specification of the function is constant over specified areas, meaning there is no interpolation of elements data between two reference points.
