The input tables serve as carrier of all input data. Following the model options Ple4Win uses these input data to calculate and produce the output tables.

Some data table features available only for input tables are:

Data table toggling:

Almost all input data tables which specify data along the pipeline can be "toggled", i.e. the column(s) defining where on the pipeline the subsequent data is to be applied can be changed by the user. This allows the user to choose the most convenient way to enter the point's data.

Default values:

Some input tables have default values available, which can be inserted into the appropriate non-empty cells of all data rows.

Table editing:

Except for the input tables having a fixed number of rows, one can insert, append and delete data rows. With all input tables, data rows can be cleared.

Table import:

Input tables can be imported from a secondary database or from an Excel file.

Table check:

All input tables used in the calculations must have the "tested" status. Untested tables are automatically checked before a DF is executed.

Input table status

An input table can be in one of the following specified status:

Table.Empty Empty

This table does not contain any data, it can be opened to add data.

Table.Unfilled Missing Data

This table does not contain any data, however, a calculation attempt failed because data in this table is needed.

Table.LockedEmpty Locked Empty

This table does not contain any data, it cannot be opened (unless a secondary database is defined, see above).

Table.Data Data

This table does contain data, however, that data has not yet been fully checked (tested). The table can be opened to add, modify and/or check the data.

Table.Untested Untested Data

This table does contain data, however, a calculation attempt failed because this data has not been tested. The data in this table can be edited.

Table.Error Data with Warnings/Errors

This table does contain data, however, during testing or during the calculation it was determined that the data has errors. Alternatively, the data is technically correct, but the program warns that it will most likely lead to unrealistic results. See the notices table for more information. This table is editable.

Table.Tested Tested Data

This table does contain data that has passed all pre-calculation tests. Data in this table can be edited, however, its status will be changed to "Data" in that case.

 

Info A successfully tested table does not mean its data is free of errors! Only during calculations any relations between data in different tables are evaluated, and data mismatch errors are detected only then.

Table.Locked Locked Data

This table does contain data, it can only be read.

Table.LockedWarn Locked Data, with warnings

This table does contain data, it can only be read. At least one value of that table data exceeds a given limitation. See the notices table for more information.

Table.Setback Set-backed Data

This table does contain data after a design function has been set back or unlocked (see below). It can be edited.
